NewAPI & MCP — manage LabelBase from your AI assistant, and build your own automations.

What's new in LabelBase.

Every feature, improvement and fix we ship, newest first.

  1. Version 0.30.1

    Longer IPI numbers

    • IPI numbers with 11 digits are now saved exactly as entered on every profile.
  2. Version 0.30.0

Release intake: artists bring everything a release needs

    • Every participant on a release gets their own intake link: they fill in their details, add their tracks, declare credits and sign their contracts.
    • Artists can send covers, avatars, a pitch and a bio. You choose what goes straight onto the release and what waits for your approval.
    • Masters, covers and avatars upload directly from the intake, and an avatar sent by an artist lands on their artist profile.
    • See how far each link and each release has come, then filter and sort your releases by intake status.
    • Reminders go out automatically, a "Remind now" button nudges a participant on the spot, and you're notified as soon as everything is in.
    • In the artist portal, conversations are listed in one place and the new link-in-bio editor is live.
  3. Version 0.29.3

    More reliable distribution retries

    • Retrying a delivery no longer fails on tracks, artists or writers that were already sent.
    • Writers are matched by their IPI before an existing mapping is reused, so the right person is credited.
  4. Version 0.29.0

    Catalog health

    • Every release in your catalog gets a health status that shows what still needs work.
    • Health is recalculated automatically as you work on your releases.
    • Filter and sort the catalog by health, and see a summary of what needs attention.
    • Releases and the catalog split into released and unreleased based on the release date.
  5. Version 0.28.0

    Statements dashboard in one go

    • The royalty statements dashboard now loads all of its analytics at once.
  6. Version 0.27.0

    Royalties & Statements

    • Upload a royalty statement from any distributor: AI suggests how to read its columns, you check the mapping, then run a dry run before importing.
    • Statement mappings are versioned and editable, and a statement can be re-imported, withdrawn or reviewed in its history.
    • Lines are matched to your tracks; unmatched revenue is listed with suggestions so you can attach it later.
    • Set a reporting currency for your workspace: amounts are converted, including currencies the ECB doesn't publish, with provisional rates until final ones are known.
    • Revenue and shares analytics by rights holder, in your reporting currency.
    • Invoice runs turn shares into invoices you can review, mark as paid, cancel or export to CSV, with adjustments on statements already invoiced.
    • Record the distributor's payment on a statement and preview converted amounts on a draft.
  7. Version 0.26.0

    Dated split versions

    • Splits now have an effective date: a change creates a new version instead of overwriting the old one, and past versions stay on record.
    • Everywhere splits are shown, LabelBase uses the version in force.
  8. Version 0.24.0

    New distribution delivery

    • Releases are delivered to distribution through a rebuilt integration.
  9. Version 0.23.0

    Publishers and delivery preview

    • Publishers are listed in your workspace.
    • The summary shown before a distribution delivery has been redesigned.
  10. Version 0.21.0

    Automatic catalog numbers

    • Catalog numbers are generated automatically for new releases.
    • Fixed contracts that sometimes failed to send.
  11. Version 0.20.0

    Catalog views

    • Organize the catalog your way with views and your own ordering.
  12. Version 0.19.0

Custom catalog columns and external masters

    • Add your own columns to the catalog.
    • Tracks can point to a master hosted elsewhere through an external URL.
    • Batch deliveries to distribution use a new batch flow.
  13. Version 0.16.0

    New dashboard

    • The dashboard brings together your label's key figures, your tasks and recent activity.
  14. Version 0.15.1

    Sign your own documents

    • Electronic signatures now work on a file you upload, not only on contracts generated from a template.
    • Audio analysis no longer stalls on tracks whose duration is unknown.
  15. Version 0.13.0

    Physical formats

    • Physical formats are kept on the release with their stock and sales, next to the digital release.
  16. Version 0.12.1

    Batch deliveries and cleaner contracts

    • Several releases can be delivered to distribution in one batch.
    • Generated contracts keep their formatting.
  17. Version 0.11.0

    One source for artist details

    • An artist's details are kept in one place for the whole workspace, and electronic signatures pick them up.
  18. Version 0.9.1

    Deliver to distribution from LabelBase

    • Send a release to distribution straight from LabelBase.
    • Contract fixes.
  19. Version 0.6.0

    Bulk import

    • Import your existing releases and artists in bulk, keeping the identifiers you already use.
  20. Version 0.4.1

    Release completeness

    • LabelBase shows what a release is still missing before it can go to distribution.
    • Fixed contracts that sometimes failed to send.
  21. Version 0.2.0

    First versioned release

    • Everything built so far gets a version number: demo submissions, the release pipeline, catalog and playlists, contracts and electronic signatures, splits, chat, the artist portal and its link-in-bio, AI audio analysis, ISRC generation and notifications.
    • From here on, every change ships with a version, and the ones you can see land in this changelog.
